The Yukon

If you want to experience beautiful wild scenery far away from civilization then the Yukon should definitely be top of your list. With a population of only 31,000 in an area of 483,450 sq.km you can take to a truly open road to explore Canada's True North.

The Dempster Highway
The only highway in Canada to cross the Arctic Circle, the Dempster is a gravel road that winds its way north and east for 740 kilometres (460 mi.) from Dawson City over the Arctic tundra, to Inuvik in the Northwest Territories. There are few roads in North America that offer such a combination of experiences - bizarre and natural, awe-inspiring and liberating, human and wild.

The Klondike Highway

Winding its way through incredible mountain scenery, lakes and historic towns, The Klondike Highway roughly follows the Klondike Gold Rush Trail of 1898. It's a 720-kilometre (445-mi.) adventure from Skagway, Alaska on the Pacific Ocean, through Carcross, Whitehorse, Carmacks, Minto and Pelly Crossing to the aspen forests and rich gold creeks of Dawson - the most famous city in the North.
