Day 3 : San Francisco - Mariposa
This three hour drive east from San Francisco takes you within striking distance of the fabulous Yosemite National Park. You will spend two nights in Mariposa so that you can have a full day in Yosemite before moving on.
Day 4 : Yosemite
Spend the whole day in beautiful Yosemite. Yosemite Valley is the most visited location in the Park. Here are world-famous peaks of El Capitan, Half Dome and the spectacular Yosemite Falls.
Day 5 : Mariposa - Lone Pine
Take the Tioga Road through Yosemite which runs 39 miles West to East from Tuolomne Grove to Tioga Pass. Every few yards on this road affords breathtaking views
Day 6 : Lone Pine - Furnace Creek, Death Valley
A three-hour drive along the Eastern Sierra brings you to Death Valley, one of the hottest places in California as well as including the lowest point below sea-level.
