Mojave Desert

If you plan for around half a day in the park then our recommendation is to enter the park at Baker, stopping off at the visitor center.

Then travel south on the Kelbaker Road, past Kelso Depot through to the southern exit onto the I40, 29 miles East of Ludlow.  The views are stunning!

Kelso Depot

Kelso Depot on the Kelbaker Road in the heart of the Preserve is being restored and will be used as a new Visitor Center.
