Joshua Tree National Park

If you plan for around half a day in the park then our recommendation is to enter the park at Twentynine Palms and start with a visit to the visitor center to gain your bearings and pick up some information (they offer free maps and a small guide leaflet).

Take the main park road south towards Cottonwood Visitor Center and exit onto the I10 for your return journey.

If you have a little longer then add a small detour to Keys View which on clear days gives you a view over to Mexico.
