Grand Canyon

You can read the words - 227 miles long, up to 18 miles wide and 5000ft deep.  People can tell you it's beautiful.  You can see pictures of it. 

But nothing can prepare you for that view when you drive up to the South Rim.

We would suggest staying in either Flagstaff, AZ or Phoenix, AZ which would allow you to visit and experience the Grand Canyon within a day.

You can take helicopter flights lasting about 30 minutes for $100 or 50 minute flights for about $170. 

But even without these the sights are simply stunning.  Unfortunately no picture can ever really portray the scale and spectacle of the Grand Canyon.  So in addition to your pictures you will have to treasure those memories!
