Typical Itinerary
Day 1 - Toronto Arrival
Arrive in Toronto and explore Canada's largest city. Known as 'The 'World Within a City', do not miss out on Toronto's colourful city landscape and its great dining and shopping opportunities. Overnight in Toronto.
Day 2 - Niagara Falls Daytrip
Enjoy a full-day motorcoach tour to spectacular Niagara Falls, one of the great natural wonders of the world. Included is a cruise on the Maid of the Mist to the base of Horseshoe Falls (Imax Theatre or Journey Behind the Falls is substituted during the off season). Return to Toronto early this evening. Overnight in Toronto.
Day 3 - VIA Rail - Toronto to Jasper
Begin your 3-day VIA Rail journey onboard The Canadian train. Settle back on your seat and enjoy a dramatic change in scenery as you travel across the picturesque lakelands of Northern Ontario to the undulating plain of Canada's prairie provinces. Overnight on VIA Rail.
Day 4 - VIA Rail
Continue your rail journey across western Canada to Jasper. Enter a world of snow-capped peaks, sparkling lakes and pine forests. O vernight on VIA Rail.
Day 5 - Jasper Arrival
Arrive in Jasper on VIA Rail this afternoon. Indulge in the scenic splendours of the Canadian Rockies. Overnight in Jasper.
Day 6 - Jasper to Lake Louise
Travel to Lake Louise via one of the most scenic highways in the world, the Icefields Parkway. At the Columbia Icefield you will have the opportunity to ride on a Snocoach to the middle of Athabasca Glacier and step out onto the ice formed hundreds of years ago. After arriving in Lake Louise, you are free to take in the majestic beauty of the lake. Overnight in Lake Louise.
Day 7 - Lake Louise
Enjoy a free day at Lake Louise. Be surrounded by nature's peaceful tranquility with the turquoise lake right before your eyes and Victoria Glacier far in the distance. Perhaps take a stroll along the promenade of the lake or an afternoon paddle by canoe. Overnight in Lake Louise.
Day 8 - Lake Louise to Banff
Soak up the beauty of the Rockies and Lake Louise. Before your transfer to Banff, enjoy a tour of Yoho National Park. Among its wonders is a natural rock bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River. Overnight in Banff.
Day 9 - Banff
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Banff with visits to Bow Falls, Cave and Basin Centre, Banff Gondola, Surprise Corner, and the Hoodoos. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore Banff's pristine wilderness and rich cultural history. Overnight in Banff.
Day 10 - Rocky Mountaineer - Banff to Kamloops
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer to BC's interior. Pass by the Spiral Tunnels in Yoho National Park, the stunning glaciers at Rogers Pass, Craigellachie, where the 'last spike' was driven to complete the Canadian Pacific Railway, and Shuswap Lake. Day 11 - Rocky Mountaineer - Kamloops to Vancouver
Continue your rail trip to the coastal city of Vancouver. Today's highlight is Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon, where you will watch water torrent past the canyon's walls. Journey through the fertile Fraser Valley before arriving in Vancouver. Truly the best of both worlds, you can enjoy an endless choice of outdoor activities or experience the lively city scene. Admission to The Lookout with spectacular views of the city, mountains and ocean is included. Overnight in Vancouver.
Day 12 - Vancouver Departure
Today your Canadian Rockies vacation comes to an end with check out from your hotel.
