Passports & Visas

All UK tourists to Egypt need a valid passport and a visa.

To apply for a visa you need the following :

• Passport valid for at least six months with at least one blank page.
• Application form, completed and signed.
• One recent passport-size photo.
• Postal applicants must enclose a registered- or recorded-delivery, self-addressed envelope and pay by postal order only.
• Fee, payable by cash or postal order.

Visas are usually valid for 6 months from the date of issue for stays of up to 3 months.

Visas can be obtained on the same day for personal applications, 7 or more days for postal applications.
